The strip card
The strip card was invented especially for personal guidance. Not invented by me but already used frequently by others and found to be very workable.
One strip represents 1 hour of personal guidance.
The strip card has a wide range of applications, for example:
- An (online) photo discussion
- Specific questions can be asked quickly and explained (often online so that a quick response can be provided and no travel time is required).
- A private workshop of one day or half a day.
- Can also be used when participating in a group workshop. (Usually 2 strips)
- A long-term trajectory or mentorship (see below)
Mentorship
A mentorship is a one-on-one transfer of knowledge between mentor and participant. Through individual guidance, specific attention can be paid to the subjects and skills that the participant needs to achieve his or her goals. A mentorship is not a course with fixed goals. However, it does offer an environment for your personal photographic development. Participants are stimulated and we look for tools/opportunities to achieve their specific goals. Matters that are mainly addressed are creativity, originality and the search for and development of your own style. Technical skills are of course necessary but not primary in this.
Following a mentorship requires a lot of time from the participant. It is an extremely effective way to achieve a good result but perseverance is a must.
Method
It is important to be able to determine in advance what level you have and what your interests are. We will therefore first look at this based on your own work and some questionnaires. In consultation, we will then choose a subject or theme that you will work on during the entire duration of the mentorship. Depending on the above, we will choose a period over which the mentorship will run.
Finally, of course at the end of the trajectory, the selection follows and with that your 'harvest', the result of the project. During the journey, the work done will be discussed regularly and the progress will be monitored. Always critical but also always constructive and constructive!
A few more rules of the game.
The strip card remains valid for one year.
Workshops/meetings etc. are agreed upon in consultation.
Payment is only made in whole strips.
Workshops can be held within a radius of 50km from Delft or Putten (GLD) and are including travel time. Outside this area a fee of 0.19 ct/km applies.
There are strip cards of 1, 5 or 10 pieces. If you choose the latter, you will receive 2 extra strips from me.
Of course, you can also call me first to discuss the options.
